Pre-Medicine Option

The Pre-Medicine option is a Track-Two option in the BS degree in Chemistry directed at students planning to apply to medical or dental school, or other professional schools in health areas who also wish to target chemistry as a career pathway. This option includes four advanced laboratory courses and nine courses in biology, biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology with opportunities to take courses in related areas that are important components for application to professional schools while exploring possible minors in other areas. A degree in chemistry provides a strong foundation for many professions and postgraduate degrees in chemistry or related areas.
