- Ecampus (hybrid)
The MS in Nutrition, Professional Dietetics (PD) is a challenging, graduate-level supervised practice program that mentors and trains entry-level Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) practitioners who are prepared to be leaders with advanced skills in diverse practice areas of food and nutrition practice. The program was created to reflect the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics philosophy that “Education is a dynamic and complex process that translates the theoretical and ideal into actual application and practice.” The program builds from knowledge level to skill acquisition as students begin with graduate coursework and proceed to supervised practice rotations. The sequencing of the rotation sites allows for progression of practice as well as application of theory to practice with patients and clients of different ages and with different needs. Additionally, the program strives to develop innovative, advanced-level practitioners who can apply critical thinking, research, and evaluation skills in nutrition and dietetics practice.
