Long-Term Care Operations Management Option
This option is available within the Supply Chain and Logistics Management major at the following location:

The Long-Term Care Operations Management option prepares professionals to manage and optimize supply chain systems in skilled nursing, assisted living, and other long-term care settings. The program integrates core supply chain principles with the regulatory, clinical, and operational requirements unique to long-term care environments.
Students gain practical knowledge in procurement, inventory control, logistics, vendor management, and demand forecasting for pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, equipment, and support services. Emphasis is placed on cost control, forecasting, continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness.
The curriculum incorporates healthcare policy, technology-enabled supply chain systems, and performance measurement to support efficient, high-quality care delivery. Graduates are prepared for management and leadership roles such as supply chain manager, operations director, or procurement specialist within long-term care organizations and healthcare systems, while building a foundation for advancement into broader healthcare administration roles.
