Finance Minor

The Finance Minor allows students to acquire theoretical knowledge and analytic tools in Finance that can enhance decision-making effectiveness in every discipline and industry, and in one’s own personal life. The minor provides students with the flexibility to choose a specialization in general finance, corporate finance, or investments. The minor offers potential opportunities for students who wish to leverage their existing major and distinguish themselves for employment within many business settings, including a corporation, non-profit, or start-up.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Apply the fundamental concepts and tools of finance.
- Apply financial management concepts and tools to the decisions faced by a manager in investment decisions.
- Appraise the risk profile of firms by estimating the costs of capital, including debt and equity capital, using financial data.
