Toxicology Minor

The Toxicology minor provides basic and applied science majors sufficient background for technical work in toxicology.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Explain the core toxicological concepts of dose-response assessment, toxicokinetics, exposure assessment and chemical mechanisms of action.
- Identify the role for the science of toxicology in society and importance of risk analysis.
- Develop competency in scientific writing and communication of scientific concepts in toxicology.
Some of the courses required for the Toxicology minor have additional prerequisites or grade standards that are separate from the minor requirements.
