Energy Policy Graduate Certificate
This program is available at the following location:

In this certificate, students will gain valuable insights into complex challenges involving energy resources by drawing from the interdisciplinary fields of sociology, economics, political science and various natural resource sciences. Students can select courses from a range of disciplines that will prepare them with the skills and competencies needed to understand economic, social, political and cultural dynamics of energy policy. They will also design and evaluate energy policy as it pertains to Oregon and other contexts.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Explain how public policy impacts energy production and use, and the management of the electric power grid.
- Evaluate impacts of energy-related policies.
- Advise decisionmakers on how public policies can improve and assist in energy production, use and management to meet environmental and economic objectives.
