Environmental Disaster Management Option
This option is available within the Natural Resources major at the following locations:
- Corvallis
- Ecampus
This option prepares students to work in interdisciplinary teams who will be preparing for, responding to, and learning from the environmental impacts of disasters such as floods, wildfire, hurricanes, tornados and climate change. Coursework includes management and communication skills during crisis, understanding and mitigating the impacts of environmental disasters on individuals and communities, and assessing, maintaining and restoring healthy ecosystems.

A Specialty Option in the Natural Resources major requires a minimum of 37 credits including at least 20 upper-division credits and a minimum GPA of 2.25.
