Health Physics Option
This option is available within the Nuclear Science and Engineering major at the following location:
- Corvallis
The Health Physics option offers Nuclear Science and Engineering majors an opportunity to concentrate their coursework in the science and technology used to protect people and their environment from radiation hazards, while enabling the beneficial uses of radiation and radioactive materials. This transcript-visible degree option prepares students to understand and apply principles of nuclear science and engineering to solve problems in radiation protection. This option addresses industry demand for personnel with a strong understanding of radiological and occupational health aspects of nuclear science and engineering.
