Wood Innovation for Sustainability Minor
This program is available at the following location:
- Corvallis
The minor in Wood Innovation for Sustainability (WInS) exposes students to the world of renewable materials science and technology and will enable students in other majors to gain a specialization that will make them more competitive for careers associated with green materials such as wood and allied industries.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Describe fundamental aspects that make wood challenging to utilize as an industrial and building material.
- Analyze and communicate technical information.
- Calculate wood moisture content and specific gravity.
Students must complete 28 credits for the minor, at least 12 of which must be upper division.
