Clinically Based Elementary Education Option
This option is available within the Teaching major at the following location:

The Clinically Based Elementary Education (CBEE) option is a professional 90-credit program that follows a two-year community college degree (MTM or 90 pre-approved credits). The CBEE option features culturally responsive pedagogy, teaching for equity and inclusion, and science and math topics leading to an Oregon preliminary teaching license in Elementary-Multiple Subjects.
This option takes advantage of partnerships between school districts and the College of Education to put teacher candidates in district classrooms. Courses are offered fully online, hybrid - a combination of online and face-to-face learning, and field practicums in school district classrooms.
Only school districts that have entered into a formal partnership with OSU are available for student placement. Please check with the program lead for information about participating schools.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Demonstrates impact on P-12 student learning.
- Demonstrates mastery of subject material.
- Demonstrates understanding of pedagogical content knowledge and skills.
- Conducts scholarly and professional activities in an ethical manner.
An overall OSU GPA of 3.0 and a C- minimum grade in all courses is required for the option.
