This graduate certificate program provides educators and professionals with the knowledge and skills to support students with special needs through an intersectional and inclusive approach. The courses emphasize the legal foundations of special education, the impact of intersecting identities on learning, and the importance of collaboration among schools, families, and communities. Students will engage with research-driven practices that promote equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive support for all learners.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Conduct research or produce some other form of creative work.
- Demonstrate mastery of subject material.
- Conduct scholarly or professional activities in an ethical manner.
- Analyze the intersectionality between disability and other aspects of diversity.
- Evaluate the diverse needs and characteristics of special education student populations.
- Identify effective strategies of collaboration with school professionals, families, and/or community agencies.
- Apply laws and policies for working with special needs populations and their families.
