Description and Requirements

Innovative Healthcare Management MC will teach you strategies to innovate healthcare solutions and lead change within any healthcare organization. This MC is for people who want to take the first step into the healthcare profession or who are already part of an organization and want to upgrade their skills with the most recent and effective methods of innovation in the healthcare field. We welcome students from various backgrounds and positions in healthcare, as well as those with a passion for design thinking and innovation, to drive growth, change, and success in any healthcare organization.

The healthcare industry is currently facing new internal and external challenges that require managers and leaders to figure out how to do more with less. Students, preparing for future healthcare roles and existing healthcare professionals alike, will need to acquire new knowledge and skillsets that will help them navigate an ever-changing volatile market.

To bridge this knowledge gap students will critically assess the healthcare delivery system, its components, and the challenges created by its structure and consider the varied perspectives of several main players. A “current state” view will help students gain a baseline of which to formalize new innovative and effective healthcare management methodologies and strategies.
Each course will not be offered every term, but all courses will be offered during a given academic year.
