The proposed course designator should have an identified purpose within the curricular structure of Oregon State University.
ABRD is being created as part of the new Education Abroad Transcription Policy. It is an administrative subject code for articulation of study abroad credit, replacing existing overseas "O" courses, and therefore does not need formal approval by Curriculum Council. OSU's Global Opportunities (OSU GO) and the Course Articulation Team in the Office of the Registrar will be responsible for its administration.
Refer to the policy at https://curriculummanagement.oregonstate.edu/pop/education-abroad-transcription-policy
Responsibility for the integrity and oversight of the proposed course designator should be clearly identified.
