The Wood Innovation for Sustainability (WINS) degree is an integrated curriculum designed to provide advanced, professional training in five areas:
- Core knowledge in wood science;
- Key innovation areas in the wood industry, which depending on the specific track will focus on mass timber industry or circular economy;
- Engineering and business technical skills;
- Communication, management skills and abilities; and
- Professional responsibility and ethics. In addition, each student will participate in an intensive internship experience(s) engaging students in real work situations involving technical problems, teamwork, communication skills, and decision-making.
Upon completion of this degree, graduates will be better placed for career advancement.
