Special Education Graduate Option
This option is available within the Teaching major at the following location:

The Master of Arts in Teaching with an Option in Special Education prepares students for Oregon's special education generalist initial teacher licensure, with licensure reciprocity in most other states. The program emphasizes social justice and inclusivity across identities and preparing teacher candidates to work with key stakeholders with practice-oriented strategies based on strong research.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Conduct research or produce some other form of creative work.
- Demonstrate mastery of subject material.
- Conduct scholarly or professional activities in an ethical manner.
- Evaluate competence with teaching at the K-12 level.
