This degree blends coursework in agricultural economics, business, agricultural sciences, computer science, arts, and humanities so that graduates can respond to the unique challenges and opportunities in agribusiness vocations.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Explain microeconomic theory at the intermediate level, including producer theory, and how markets work and prices are formulated.
- Analyze and evaluate agricultural and food business problems and management decisions employing commonly used business software, utilizing various forms of capital and cash-flow budgeting, as well as historic and pro forma firm financial statements.
- Utilize and apply regression and other statistical methods to analyze commodity markets and economic data.
- Formulate agricultural and food business strategies and marketing plans for both generic commodities and specialized products.
- Explain how external forces such as law, environmental regulation, and government policies impact agribusiness decision making.
All AFBM majors must complete the Core Requirements, MTH 111Z, MTH 241, ST 351, BA 211Z, BA 213Z, and Additional Writing course with a grade of C- of higher.
