What is a Quick-Jump?

A Quick-Jump is a keyword that can be used to jump directly to a place in the catalog, similar to AOL Keywords.  Currently there are over 19,000 Quick-Jumps putting the information you use most at your fingertips.

How do I know if a page is included in Quick-Jump?

To the left of the Quick-Jump box, the 'See Quick-Jumps' See Quick Jumps Icon icon will appear on pages that are included in Quick-Jump.  Also a list of the Quick-Jump keywords for the current page will appear at the bottom of the page.  The list looks something like this:

What do I put in the box?

If the page is included in Quick-Jump there will be a list on the bottom of the page containing the keywords you can use in the Quick-Jump box to return to the page.  The following is a listing of common Quick-Jumps you can construct (NOTE: all Quick-Jump keywords are NOT case sensitive and spaces can be used if desired):

  1. Course Lists = [Subject Code]
    • Example: 'SPAN' will take you to the course list for spanish courses
  2. Undergraduate Course Lists = [Subject Code] + undergrad
    • Example: 'ENGRundergrad' will take you to the undergraduate course list for engineering courses
  3. Graduate Course Lists = [Subject Code] + grad
    • Example: 'BAgrad' will take you to the graduate course list for business courses
  4. Lower Division Course Lists = [Subject Code] + lower
    • Example: 'COMMlower' will take you to the lower division course list for communication courses
  5. Upper Division Course Lists = [Subject Code] + upper
    • Example: 'MTHupper' will take you to the upper division course list for Math courses
  6. Professional Course Lists = [Subject Code] + pro
    • Example: 'VMpro' will take you to the upper division course list for Veterinary Medicine courses
  7. In-Service Course Lists= [Subject Code] + inservice
    • Example: 'FORinservice' will take you to the In-Service course list for Forestry courses
  8. Cascades Campus Course Lists = [Any of the Course List quick-jumps (1-7 above)] + cascades
    • Example: 'EDupperCascades' will take you to the upper division course list for Education courses for the Cascades campus
  9. Ecampus - Distance Ed Course Lists = [Any of the Course List quick-jumps (1-7 above)] + ecampus
    • Example: 'GERundergradEcampus' will take you to the undergraduate course list for German courses for Ecampus - Distance Ed
  10. Schedul of Classes Course Lists = [Any of the Course List quick-jumps (1-9 above)] + [Term or Term Code]
    • Example: 'GEOundergradFall2002' will take you to the undergraduate schedule of classes course list for Geoscience courses offered Fall 2002
    • Example: 'GEO200301' will take you to the schedule of classes course list for Geoscience courses offered Fall 2002
  11. Course Detail = [Subject Code] + [Course Number]
    • Example: 'BI101' will take you to 'BI 101 *General Biology' course detail page
  12. Major Detail = 'major' + [Major Code]
    • Example: 'Major181' will take you to the Business Administration Undergraduate Major detail page
  13. Interdisciplinary Major Overview = 'major' + [Major Code]
    • Example: 'Major113' will take you to the Bioresource Research Interdisciplinary Major overview page
  14. Interdisciplinary Major Detail per College = 'major' + [Major Code] + [College Abbreviation (listed below)]
    • Example: 'Major113SCI' will take you to the Bioresource Research Interdisciplinary Major detail page for the College of Science whereas 'Major113FORESTRY' will take you to the Bioresource Research Interdisciplinary Major detail page for the College of Forestry
  15. Minor Detail = 'minor' + [Minor Code]
    • Example: 'Minor1200' will take you to the Crop Science Graduate Minor detail page
  16. Department Overview =  'dept' + [Minor Code]
    • Example: 'deptANS' will take you to the Animal Sciences Department overview page
  17. College Overview = [Full College Name] OR [College Unique Abbreviation]
    The college names and unique abbreviations are listed in the table below:



    • Example: 'CollegeofEngineering' or 'COE' will take you to the College of Engineering overview page
