Disturbance processes, such as wildland fire, insect or disease outbreak, landslide, and windthrow, are important considerations in any actively managed forest, regardless of the specific management objective. The Forest Landscape Processes and Management option prepares students to understand, manage, mitigate and/or use forest disturbance processes as part of a forest management plan.
