Undergraduates interested in the marine sciences can complete a minor in oceanography by following the curriculum below. This minor will add interdisciplinary breadth to undergraduate programs, broaden employment prospects, and enhance chances for gaining admission to graduate programs.
The undergraduate Oceanography minor is suggested for students in any of the major programs of the College of Science, in fisheries or in engineering. The minor also provides a broad environmental science background for students planning to become high school teachers of earth or life sciences. The Oceanography minor is administered under the dean by the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences' Student Programs Office.
