This major prepares students for careers in the fast-growing health care industry. Graduates have the skills to work in hospital administration, long-term care, or other health services management positions. The Health Management and Policy program has full membership in the Association of University Programs in Health Administration. The curriculum comprises a series of courses relating to a set of common requirements and to a set of specialized options.
1. Complete 90 credits of course work applicable toward a degree in health management and policy with an overall GPA of 2.80 or higher.
2. Complete the following pre-health management and policy courses with a GPA of 2.80 or higher:

H 220. Intro to Epidemiology and Health Data Analysis (3)
H 225. *Social and Individual Health Determinants (4)
H 250. Intro to Health Care Organization and Administration (3)
MB 230. *Introductory Microbiology (4)
MTH 245. *Mathematics for Management, Life and Social Sciences (4)
All of the above courses must be taken A–F.
3. Submit a request for admission into the health management and policy program to the Academic Advising Office.
