Course PH 314. INTRODUCTORY MODERN PHYSICS (4).

An elementary introduction to relativity and quantum theory, emphasizing the experiments that revealed the limitations of classical physics. Applications include the properties of atoms, nuclei, and solids. Laboratory work accompanies lectures. Lec/lab. PREREQS: PH 213. COREQ: MTH 256.
