Course CH 513. SOLID STATE CHEMISTRY (3-4).

Basic principles of chemistry are applied to descriptions of structure-property relationships in inorganic solids. Topics include crystal structure, materials synthesis, chemical bonding, electronic properties, optical properties, and magnetism. Students who register for 4 credits will perform independent study of an advanced topic based on research literature. This course is repeatable for a maximum of 4 credits. PREREQS: CH 442 or CH 542
