Historical development of environmental management and environmental economics; economics of environmental pollution, including the concept of economic efficiency, the optimal level of pollution, and alternative pollution control approaches; measuring environmental values and damages, including the contingent valuation methods, revealed preference models, and the transfer of such values; the time, discount rates, uncertainty and sustainable development.
