Course ANTH 452. FOLKLORE AND EXPRESSIVE CULTURE (4).

The study of folklore/popular culture in its social and historical context. Examines content, structure, communicative potential, and performative aspects of various forms of oral and written expression. Includes familiarization with the analysis of myths, legends, tall tales, proverbs, riddles, and play languages. (FA) PREREQS: 3 credits of social science.
