The Department of Student Leadership and Involvement (SLI) provides programs, services and opportunities that intentionally promote student learning, personal and leadership development, and inclusion in the diverse campus community. SLI is comprised of and supports the Center for Leadership Development, the Student Events and Activities Center, the Office of Greek Life, the Community Service Center, and Team Liberation. SLI directly supports OSU Recognized Student Clubs and Organizations with leadership and organizational development and with activities and event planning. Student Leadership and Involvement also participates in support of student organizations and events through the Cultural Meal Support program.
The Center for Leadership DevelopmentThe Center for Leadership Development provides education and consulting focused on personal and leadership development, including but not limited to strength based leadership development, cultural competencies, conflict and time-management, goal setting, marketing your leadership experience, leadership styles and group dynamics, and life skills that will prove valuable upon graduation. In addition, the Center for Leadership Development provides support to the Community Service Center and to Team Liberation. Contact: Don Johnson, Asst. Student Events and Activities CenterThe Student Events and Activities Center, MU 103, is the hub of support for 240 OSU recognized clubs and organizations and all students that provide events and activities for the OSU community. The goal of the center is to provide visibility of all of the involvement opportunities that exist for OSU students; ranging from being a part of a club or organization, participating in a university student lead program, getting involved as a peer educator or participating in one of the hundreds of extra-curricular programs available.
